95 Accord intermittent starting problems...
My 95 Accord 2.2L LX started giving me intermittent starting problems 2 weeks ago.
The engine will turn over but would not fire, but next day it would start right up.
I suspected the fuel pump or master relay. I took master relay out and clean contacts, worked good for few days.
- Acted up again 2 days ago. I replaced the master relay. still would not start (Saturday).
- I checked for fuel at the fuel rail seems to be plenty of gas getting to the rail
- I checked spark at all cylinders - all good
- I let sit over night in (dry warm garage) and it started up today.
Anyone have any idea what may be the problem?? I'm leaning towards Igniter unit, or injectors.
I would appreciate advice on this...

Does it have any relationship to warm/cold? How about dry/wet/rain??
Just because you mentioned the dry warm garage, here's something to check out.
- engine completely cold
- very dark, like 3am or something like that
- open the hood, turn off all lights, start engine
- watch for arcing along sparkplug wires or across distributor cap
- spray water from windex bottle makes it more visible?
- any arcing or corona-discharge (dull blue glow) indicates insulation has broken down allowing spark to leak out.

JB....
I did the dark room test and sure enough after I sprayed a little water on the spark plug wires the car started missing and the spark plug wires started acring! I guess I will install new wires tomorrow. Thanks JB!

On a separate note... my ignition is getting more and more sticky between position I and II. I have to giggle and fiddle with it to get it to start. Both of my ignition keys have this problem.
Is my ignition starting to fail or is my Keys going bad?

You can check that by taking apart the plastic shroud around the steering column. The electrical part of the ignition switch is held on with a couple screws. With that removed, put the key into the lock cylinder & twist it. It should turn freely; if not, try lubricating the lock cylinder. Otherwise try twisting the electrical switch to see if the mechanical action of that part is messed up.
PS. Honda factory sparkplug wires seem to last forever (well, 17 years aint bad). If you don't want to get those, people have said that NKG wires are pretty good.
