96 Accord lx 4cyl starting problem

Today i was driving around fine and then made a quick stop into the pharmacy. Getting back into the car I turned the key and nothing happened, no clicking, no start, just nothing. I think the only thing that showed was the seatbelt light lit up.

Doing some research and it came up as starter but was wondering if anyone had the same problem and what it may be. Thanks

The battery, starter, wiring, or ignition switch are all possibilities.

I would probably disconnect the battery cables, then clean up the connectors with some sand paper. Then reconnect.

I would test the voltage on the battery.

Did you try jump starting the car?

no it started up after waiting 30 seconds and trying again. But i will do all the standard cleaning and testing.

Could be the starter - could be something else. Have you recently taken anything around the steering wheel apart? I had an issue on a 94 accord where NOTHING happened when I turned the key and it ended up being a loose ignition connection (big semi-transparent white plug right by where the key goes in). Check the starter too.
