96 Accord Wont Start in Cold??

Ok....so i was about to go to walmart at 1am and i jump in my car and turn the key...and BAAMMMM...it would turn over but not start. Now....i have read some posts and googled my way around...and it seems to me like its the coolant temp sensor. Cause i got a tune up a week ago...new dis and everything. Even had my head adjusted cause it was dying everytime i would stop at a light. Just passed smog tooooo!!!!! So what do you guys think? My google skills paid off....or could it be something else??

My only concern with going for the ECT just yet is that usally if they are out of spec but not far enough to "set a code" - then the usual symptoms are along the lines of the car taking multiple tries of starting before the engine will run, sometimes showing black smoke - excess fuel burning off from the multiple cranks.

So yours did not start at all. So I would test for spark and for fuel when this happens.

yup, have to eliminate the fuel and spark possibilities first, and then continue on...fyi, a tune up is not a distributor replacement and valve adjustment. were the plugs changed??

Lol...i know a tune up isnt the dis getting changed. But yes..the plugs were changed and it was from a mechanic that i know...kindda. lol. And about black smoke....i didnt see any. I started the car up today around 11am and it was around 11:30am.
**UPDATE** i took my car out and it started every single time....that was about 10 times. It never once just turned over and not staet. So i doubt fuel/spark is the problem.....right?
