96 EX MPG and 02 / Fuel Trim Readings

Hi,

I have a 96 accord that has always had decent mpg, probably because I drive it conservatively. it bounces from 25 MPG to almost 29 MPG.

I recently loaded the Torque application on my phone and got a bluetooth transmitter to feed it ECM data. So now I have fuel trim and O2 voltages, but I am not sure what they tell me.

The O2 voltages are always between 0 and 1, and stay pretty constant while crusing on the highway. sensor 1 is about .2 and the rear is .8. At other speeds and driving conditions they seem to fluctuate. That is also true on a newer pontiac that I have.

My F/T readings are anywhere from -2 percent to 46.9%!!! The F/T seems to climb to 46.9 and stay there for about 1 or 2 minutes and then either drops off, or I go into an open loop condition because of insufficient cat temp. On a 10 minute trip, it might hit 46.9% two times and spends the rest of the time typically between 0 and 10%.

I still have to do some legwork to determine if there are exhaust or intake/vacuum leaks, but I was hoping these readings might trigger some feedback from the experts.

Thanks!!
