Have you tested the switch or the motor?

I switch it up and down but nothing happens, I just want to know if it’s the motor or something I have to change, any idea what it could be?

Let me try again.

Do you have a volt meter?

Check the #31 fuse in the underhood fuse panel (20amp-forgot this last night). Is it good?

Test the switch. "UP" position should have continuity between pins A and B. "DOWN" position should have continuity between pins A and D. Does it pass?

Apply power to the motor. Positive (+) to pin A and negative (-) to pin B should make the motor move "up". Switch the wires should make the motor move "down".....warning remove the wires from the motor as soon as it stops running. Did the motor run in either position?

Yeah I checked the fuse and its good but I haven’t test the motor under the seat yet because I have a bigger issue now and it’s my dashboard lights, tail lights and plate lights.

I bought this car 2 weeks ago and I installed SUB speakers with a AMP then I installed LED license plate lights then the day after that is that I find out the dashboard lights and tail lights where out, I found out that it’s was burnt fuse. I changed it and it burnt out on me again, well I was checking the wiring in back of the radio and saw a very bad connection, I cleaned and fix the wires and at the same time I installed a new radio so after that I put a new fuse and it worked until I drove 3 miles then it went out on me again.

So I checked all the wires on everything I did and nothing seems to be touching or bad connected but it keeps burning the fuse and I can’t find out what’s the problem, I was thinking of putting a bigger AMP fuse on, do you think that’s a good idea or anybody else has a brighter idea?

Unplug the LED's and let us know what happens????

Well I did and it still burnt the fuse also I checked the corner light that was unplugged and plugged it back but still no resolution....

Ok, next on the list is the radio and then the dimmer-

krave88 03-07-2012 06:28 PM

Well i double check the radio but how would I be able to test the dimmer if my only option is to lower or raise the lights, also wanted to know if i just put a stronger fuse, would it work?
