97 abs sensor

Is there any place where i can see a DIY on this?
MY abs sensor light is coming on and i'm thinking of cleaning it first before getting it fixed.

All right, so i cleaned the sensor and took off the black stuff that accumulated. But it's still giving the read. I guess i have to chance the whole piece
Is there a DIY on this? Thank you !

Get the code(s). Once you know the code we can help.

If you already have the codes and it is one of the wheel sensors, you can measure the resistance of the sensor to see if it is good or bad.

It's the rear driver side as said by my friend who has an abs reader

How do i check the resistance?

First test is to dixconnect the harnes. Test the resistance of the sensor-your voltmeter (set to measure resistance), touch the leads to the wires going to the sensor- should be between 600-900.....more steps based upon what you find.

In the Common DIY Threads sticky at the top of this section there is a link to a manual you can down load that will help with this.
