97 Honda Accord Temp. Problems!!
 

Details About My Car:
97 Honda Accord Ex 2.2L V-Tech 208xxx miles.

My Problem:
So, before I've had the problem of my temp. gauge rising when i'd come to a stop and then it would drop after i press the gas. Now my problem is that my temp. gauge is just flying all over the place, it jumps from half to 3/4 down to half down to 1/2, jump and down process. Even noticed too when i climb a hill the temp rises as well. I have no idea why this happens? I changed out my thermostat, had a radiator flush, changed out my ect switches, well pretty much all of my switches. So I going nuts here trying to get my car back to normal. Anybody please help me, or have a idea. Thanks

Check the wire to the temp sender to be sure it isn't grounding somewhere.

Was the jumping present before the t-stat change? When you changed the t-stat, did you bleed all of the air out of the system?

Well before and after the new therm. my temp gauge would be normal while driving but like i said when i come to a light my temp gauge will rise, but after that my temp gauge is just flying all over the place, even a 5-10min drive and i turn off the engine, my fans kick on. the system was bleed out.

Are gauge movements rapid (< 1 sec movements) or gradual (10-30 secs)? Rapid changes in temperature are very unlikely. If they are rapid, this is an electrical problem, not cooling system.

Are you losing coolant? If yes, then failing head gasket can allow combustion gas into the cooling system and cause fairly quick temp changes. You will see bubbles entering the coolant reservoir and reservoir may overflow.
