98 Accord Engine oil?

I have a 98 Accord EX 4-cylinder, the recommended oil to use is 5W-30. I'm wondering if it is okay to use 10W-40 oil?

Is it okay to use those Engine oil treatments like STP engine oil treatment?

Is it okay to use those fuel injector cleaners like Chevron Supreme fuel injection cleaning (it's the bottle you fill up before you refuel)?

10W40 is a bit thick unless your car is burning a lot of oil. STP really only thickens the oil not much else. Techron is one of the best fuel system/injector cleaners, I use it on a regular basis. Depending on your location 5W30 or 10W30 should be fine, the 5W preferred for very cold temps.

Hi there...

I agree wholly with RTexasF on his recommendations of what to use on your Accord.

5W30 gets the nod from this member also, I do use semi synthetic Exxon oil @ 5W30 all year long and I use Lucas fuel cleaner about every 3 months.
