99 v6 ex cuts out while driving
I have a 99 accord v6 ex coupe. 170k miles. runs great. problem is intermittently. it will die on me while driving. it will then all of a sudden start right back while driving. if i remember correclty it seems that all power went out for that split second. just recently i had to pull over and it starts right back up. the radio was still on though. i have a new battery, changed wires, plugs, cap, rotor. i jiggle the key to see if it's ignition, but it doesn't stall out. i've read here it could be the relay? any other suggestions?

RE: 99 v6 ex cuts out while driving
The first thing you should do is stop by a dealership and ask them to run a VIN status inquiry to see if the ignition switch recall applies or has been done.
The sad thing about that recall is we were installing the exact same units into the cars as was the units that failed, but it made NHTSA happy I guess. So in fact if the recall has already been done, there is still a chance of ignition switch failure. Hey, don't shoot the messenger here. :D |

yep. it was already done during the first recall of them. is that likely the cause?
