AC?
So yesterday I went to get my alternator replaced at Strauss b/c i have a lifetime warranty (they charged only for labor) and then last night, i turn on my ac only to find that its blowing hot air. Sh$t. i figure, hey, its a 10 year old car, maybe it needs to be recharged.
So i go buy those recharge bottles and it has a gauge on it. I start my car, turn on the a/c to max cold and hook up the line for AC. on the gauge, the needle jumps to red which by the bottle, means that its does not need to be recharged and that something else is wrong with the car.
Does anyone have an idea of what it could be? Thanks in advance

When you turn on your A/C check that both fans turn on.
Also, look at the clutch plate on the a/c compressor. It is the plate that is outside of the a/c compressor pulley. When the car is running with the A/C off, that plate should not spin. When you turn on the A/C the plate should lock to the pulley (you won't see that) and spin at the same rate as the compressor pulley. Let us know what you find.
