AC Blower Problems!?!?!?

I have a 2003 Accord 4 Dr Sedan 6Cyl. EXL AT

I have read other threads and from the beginning....

The blower had stopped working. I heard the AC click on, then turn right back off just as quickly. From reading the diagnosis sounded like the blower motor resister. I replaced the resister and sure enough the blower started working. I had cold air and it was working great. That was yesterday...

Today, as I started the car up I smelled burning electrical wire, and then noticed that the blower motor would not shut down. The motor will not stop even if I turn off the AC totally. Yes, when I shut down the ignition the blower does stop.

The air seems to be on high all the time and cools very well. Is my blower motor going out? I double checked and believe I have the correct resister.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jeff

UPDATE*

I ran a diagnostics check that I got from the DIY section. The code I get is "N".

Something is wrong with the blower motor circuit.

So, will replacing the blower motor fix this?

Is there a How to video for replacing like there is for the Resistor?

Did you solder in a resistor, or did you replace the whole part with a new one?

I replaced the Whole part. I have been told I may have gotten a bad part. They are swapping it out for me. So, I am about to go remove it, and take it in to swap. They said they'd have another around 2:55 CST.

Thanks for answering my post

Do you have any ideas?

Jeff

That part controls the fan speed. The fan control on the HVAC or the wiring could be a problem. A volt meter should reveal if there is a problem with the wiring. You would need a shop manual and a list of the proper readings.

I replaced the part. The resistor I removed that I had purchased yesterday was burned inside. I detected a distinct burned odor. I replaced the old part with the one I just got today and everything works fine. I will continue to monitor it so I don't get stranded in 105 degree weather without ac.

Thanks,
Jeff

I will post with any follow ups ASAP
