so my AC went empty and there is a leak where these 2 hoses connect.the mechanic cleaned it up but I can see there is still some leakage, so I want to replace these 2 hoses but I dont know what they are called. I have included 2 pictures.
I see there are many hoses for the AC and if you can give me the names of these 2 hoses I appreciate it. there is also another hose by the firewall that looks very dry rotted but Ill put a picture of it in a different post.
this is what I see on partsgeek.com -
A/C Refrigerant Discharge Hose
A/C Liquid Line Assembly
Muffler?: without Muffler
Service Port?: w/o Service Port
A/C Refrigerant Suction Hose without muffler
A/C Refrigerant Liquid Hose w/o Service Port
A/C Refrigerant Liquid Hose w-Service Port
connects to the compressor. goes to the back near the firewall. If you look at the clamp area, that is where it is leaking from.
Your best bet is to go on a site like hondapartsnow.com and get the OEM part numbers. Hopefully sites like partsgeek or rockauto have the cross-reference to the OEM part number.
ok so I found the chart on Hondapartsnow.com - I see there are 2 sections, #2 and #4 looks like both hoses are available, but I suppose cheaper after market. or should I spend the extra and get OEM?
I don't have an opinion on which ones to get. The price from Honda is typically the high range as Honda marks up prices. I'd be leary if a $100 honda price was $5 on ebay. When they arrive, just make sure they are the same size and bends as your damaged ones and also check for any damage.

I ordered the $34 OEM part on ebay I believe its real. Ive bought a lot of OEM on ebay and everything has always been legit. I will know when I get it. I ordered the 3 O-rings and a new clamp from Hondaparts and I have a good lead on the other hose for $75. Im going to call honda tomorrow to see if they have it and how much. so It looks like I should be able to get everything I need. thanks for all your help! much appreciated!
Ebay sells lots of fake Honda parts. When you see the word OEM be real carefully. I needed an 02 senor for my Accord and there are tons of OEM Honda ones on Ebay. You got both for the price of one of them from the dealer. The picture had them sitting on a Honda box. There was no grommet that holds it is place which means aftermarket. I read about someone buying what they thought was a Honda timing belt on Ebay that failed and destroyed the motor. I got the same NTK 02 sensor my car came with from Amazon for less then the fake ones.

ok, havent had any issues thus far. I purchased 2 OEM Honda timing belts on ebay, one installed and just got on, both came in authentic honda packaging. but I understand you have to be real careful.
I had to get my factory Honda timing chain off of Ebay as they were on backorder. I was lucky it came from a dealership near me and had all the right stickers. Someone purchased it for their own car. EBay does have a few sellers where the part comes from Japan. Their feedback looks good.
