i have purchased a new head unit, and it comes with a safty feauture that has a wire connecting to the emergency brake so you can not view video when it is not engaged. I was wondering where would be the easiest place to mount the toggle switch i will use to fake apply the emergency brake. i was thinking right beside the emergency brake, or under the steering column. also does anyone know the best way to remove that trim piece.
thanks in advanced

Why not just ground it out all the time?
That is how I have my Pioneer Avic-Z2 set-up.
Why use a toggle switch?

would that work if the head unit requires a specific sequence when setting the emergency brake to view the video?

No it will not.
You should do some research on-line about how to bypass your radio.
For me I had to ground out 2 wires and then I updated the unit using some software I got online for free.
