I a I am having problems trying to get my mission the engine light keeps coming on I put in a brand new gas filter unit located the battery put the battery back into hook the backup driven the car and the computer still will not register the car what seems to be the problem that this car will not allow me to pass emissions

Have the codes read and report back. Also list the year/model/engine size
