Air conditioner, 2003 EX, not blowing cool air
Honda Accord 2003 EX sedan, 4 cyl.
I am known to be able to perform minor maintenece on a car (flushing out radiator, cleaning a throddle body, changing thermostat, etc) but fear this may call for a visit to the shop unless someone here can help me. I dont really know any other details to put in here, the heat works fine,. the AC does not and my wife and I got no indications that it was dying. We have owned this accord since it was on the showroom floor and its performed perfectly for almost 7 years and 100,000 miles. I looked under the hood expecting to see a belt missing since all i could rememeber about ACs not working was that in my old 1988 Blazer it had a belt that ran the ac compresser that was seperate from the main belt. Thanks in advance. JazzMann |
You may need to recharge the air conditioning system or there may be a leak.

Okay, how insane is it that my air now works fine?
I havent done a thing to it nor taken it to any shop or anything like that. Is this just a sign that the freon or something could be going away? |
you could be low on freon and a/c seem colder on cooler days ...or there is an intermittent electrical issue causing a/c to work at times ,, if when it a/c comes on it cools real good 39-42 degrees .. than it is not low on freon..most likely an electrical issue

Eventually, the fan stopped blowing altogether. Was the relay found under the blower motor. I think I got it online for 60 or 70 bucks and the install was a breeze.
