All MEMBERS MUST READ BEFORE POSTING

Here are some common items that members must address to help the General Tech forum on HAF run as fast and smooth as possible.

1. What car do you drive?
Before you post a question, put your year, model, engine size, auto/manual transmission in your signature under your user CP. Most moderators will not help you if this information is missing.

My signature would have "1995 Accord 2.2L EX MT"

2. Gather some information before you post your first thread

A. The DIY Section has detailed procedures dealing with common problems we typically encounter. Here is a link: https://www.hondaaccordforum.com/for...splay.php?f=26
B. The Tegger site has a ton of information specific to the accord and tips to diagnose your problem: http://www.tegger.com/hondafaq/faq.html
C. Techauto is another site full of useful information on Hondas. http://techauto.awardspace.com
D. kidashley25 posted a link to AutoMD site that may be useful too. http://www.automd.com/repair/honda_m12/accord_mm54/
E. Search the forums to see if people have similar problems as your car.

3. No Thread-jacking

Start your own thread for your specific car problem. One thread + two different vehicles = mass confusion for everyone. If you want to reference another thread that is similar or identical to your car problem, then copy and paste a link into your new thread. Your problem may or may not be the same as the original poster.

4. Give us as much information as possible and include the entire story.

When starting a thread, be as specific as possible to your car problem. Tell us about any work done on your car recently. Don't be embarrassed if you might have screwed something up, because all of us have made mistakes when doing car work.

If the check engine, D4, ABS, S, SRS lights are always on or flashing when driving your car, you will need to find and post the specific code. See the DIY section thread called How to Check CEL Codes.

Try to use punctuation and clear writing. It is frustrating to read a post several times to figure out what you are trying to communicate to us.

5. Post the solution to your problem.

When members encounter a similar problem, they will at least know of your specific solution. Also, the moderators enjoy knowing that we helped solve your problem.
