How can I fix this? Do I need new parts?

Auto switch to open driver side window will not operate anymore.

You need to figure out if the window regulator/motor assembly is shot or the switch itself or fuses etc. New parts are probable though.

The ones I said you need to check. We'll talk parts when you find the problem.

does the window open at all? what year is your vehicle? If I drop the battery connection on my vehicle, there is a procedure I must go through to re-enable that auto up-down operation.

Passenger side does, but not all the time, I keep have to click on it. Driver side does not work at all.

I have the same issue. I did unplug the window and lock to test it so maybe that's why it isn't rolling down now. However, the lock still doesn't work. It flicks like it's trying to move but won't come up when using the remote or door switch.

If you can see the lock tab thing trying to move up/down, that means one of the linkages in the door is frozen or the lock actuator is frozen. Lock actuators are about $50 new, the door panel will have to come off to take a look though.

I've already taken the panel off and disconnected the connectors to see if I could pull it to get a part number. The linkages looked solid as nothing was disconnected (medal rods were intact). I decided not to do it and search first. After reading on here I think this also caused the window to not work with the key fob.
