Automatic Transmission Question Please
My 1998 V-6 Coupe is starting to hunt for gears and the torque convertor is slamming a bit. What should do first? Change fluid? Take it to the dealer? Take it to the transmission shop? Burn it? Thanks Guys!

RE: Automatic Transmission Question Please
Changing the fluid would be the cheapest option. Easy to DIY.
As I'm sure you have seen on this forum, the 98-02 Auto tranny's were a bit of a problem child. I fear your trans may be SOL, but I would first try to change fluid & replace with something that may help a bit. I've seen a few posts, but nothing comes to mind right now. |
RE: Automatic Transmission Question Please
Thanks 00AccordLX5spdfor the reply and I hope this is an easy fix but I think it's not going to be. If anyone else knows of a miracle cure I sure could use one here. The paint fell off this car a year ago and I had it repainted, spent alot on that and this car is starting to become a money pit.
