i have an accord 2.0 vtec executive automatic year 2000

this alarm is the standard honda fitted alarm

when i use the remote locking the doors lock but the lights do not flash i have been around all the lights which are ok no bulbs gone, i have looked at every fuse and again all are ok,i read in answer to another post the alarm resets if starting with the wiper set to intermittent that didnt work unless i was doing it wrong. and i read that checking none of the relays have stuck might do the trick which i have done and still nothing.

I don't know the answer, but since 2.0 liter was not normal in USA in 2000, I bet you're not located in USA...

Some of that stuff might be different in other parts of the world, so it would be good for us to know where you are.

are any of the door switches or trunk illuminated on the dash when your driving?

does the car come with a hood switch? this is a common failure on usa accords - the hood switch fails and the alarm doesn't set or randomly sets of the alarm all night.

 

no none of the interior lights or the trunk light is on when i am drivingi will check the hood switch but not sure where it is?

will check the manual for where it is

 

its built into the hood latch
