Blinker probs
New to the site and enjoying it...Have a 98 Accord Coupe SE with V-6 Auto. The blinkers don't work when the car/engine is cold. Before the car warms up, I can hearthe blinker blinkingquite fast with no arrow light indication on the dash. Then as it warms up arrow lights come on the dash and they slow down to the normal flash rate and work fine the rest of the drive. Same thing happens on right or left blinker...Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...Thanks, Bill.

RE: Blinker probs
I suspect bad contacts in the turn signal switch, you can remove the steering column shrouds , then turn the steering wheel to get to the screws holding the switch in; there is also a little plastic tab on the back that locks it into the bracket.
When you have the switch out you can carefully take it apart, check for a blob of grease that might be causing the slider contact to skip the fixed contacts. The slider bar can be gently pried out and the spring behind it stretched a little bit to add more tension for better contacts. I've seen several times the manufacturer went overboard with the grease inside the switch. The grease is stiff and thick when cold. FWIW this question would have gotten more attention in the General Tech Question Forum |

Low blinker fluid? I know it doesn't help your situation, but I just had to
