i wanted to know how to change the brake pads for the rear, i started yesterday took off the bottom bolt of the caliper but the top wont come off it just keep spinning it suppose to do that or is there another bolt to take off to change the rear pads.

RE: brake pads
once you remove the bottom bolt the caliper should rotate up/off the rotor and then you can get to the pads etc

RE: brake pads
i tried that but it seems the bolt on top is to tight to let it spin up, i removed the front ones like that are the rear the same way?

RE: brake pads
I was under the impression that they were but to be totally honest with you I have never personally done the brakes on a 2002... I assumed they just swung out the way like the front.... if not then perhaps there is a bolt on the back that is spinning that you don't see?

RE: brake pads
maybe ill give it another look.

RE: brake pads
Yeah tried holding while taking of the bolt and i guess im to weak but im gonna take it to my dads friend hes a mechanic and ill just see how he'll take it off for next time. oh yeah and its gonna be for free

RE: brake pads
yea you just get two box end wrenches to take that top caliper bolt off. one for the bolt and the other for that thing that is spinning with two flat sides. tip would be to set the wrenches so they are close together so you can just sqeeze them together with your hands.
