broke and need code help
 

the honda dealers want to charge for the radio code and i bought my used 2003 accord and dont know the info the honda websites need, any honda techs want to help me out please?

Call Honda America and they will help you out.

They need whoever bought the car 2003's email and zip :/ the dealer I bought it from doesn't know it

Drive to the dealer, be nice. Show the manager proof of registration and your ID showing the same info. Explain and "most" will help you out. I'm guessing you got "nothing" - owners manual or anything like that - when you bought the car? Question here.

I'll dig around for some of the "common" places the original dealer might have placed a sticker with either the serial number for the radio or the code.....serial number from the radio and the vin - proof of ownership - and almost any dealer should help you out.

you'll need the serial number off the back of the unit, they will have to pull it out to get the number, that's why they charge you. get the number and they should do it for free.

For your 2003, you can retrieve the radio's serial number through the unit. I attached picture instructions for the units without Navigation and with Navigation. Then just go to the dealer with serial number and proof of ownership. A lot of the dealerships I know won't charge. If your dealership has an Express Service, you might hit up one of the guys there first. I seen a guy do just that two weeks ago.

A while back, when I was helping my nephew fix his 1995 Accord which I had given him (it use to be my car) and I disconnected the battery to work on it. My nephew and his mom (my sister) couldn't find the cards with the radio code on it. I took out the radio to get the serial number and called Honda America. Even though I was the original owner and had all my info., the customer service rep. didn't even ask to verify all my info. and gave the code just like that. Maybe she knew there's not too much value for a 15+ year old radio or she just trusted me. ;)

I have the one for the 95 and the 07 in a few places just to be sure....yes I'm prob one of the last people to have the stock radio in a 95....got any tapes, I can still play them :)
