buzzing noise
 

HI EVERYONE AND WISH YOU ALL A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! I HAVE A HONDA ACCORD EX 1994. MY BRAKE AND ABS LIGHTS ARE ON. WHEN I FIRST START UP THE CAR IT MAKES THIS BUZZING NOISE. IT HAPPENS FOR MAYBE 3- SECONDS AND THEN HAPPENS AGAIN AND AGAIN FOR 5 OR 10 MINUTES :confused:. AFTER THAT IT STOPS. THE CAR RUNS GREAT. DOES ANYONE HAVE AN IDEA WHAT THIS CAN BE? A few things. Check the brake fluid in both the brake master and the abs unit.

You can get the codes for the ABS, see the Common DIY Threads sticky at the top of this section. Sounds like a "pump over run"....but need to check the fluid and then get the code.

I had the same problem with my 95 accord. It ended up being the abs unit was bad. But like poorman said check the fluid first if it is low it will make that noise.

I have a 94 accord doing this exact thing and my ABS light is on however I also have a 1999 civic doing the same thing but no lights are on. hmm
anyway I've heard you can get the code for these year models by sticking a smile paper clip and entity OBD connector. Are you absolutely positive this isn't Are you absolutely positive this isn't going to "light me up"??

Find the blue 2-pin service connector under the glove box near the glove box hinge. It will be plugged into a connector with no wires, so a dummy connector. Jump the two pins with a paperclip, turn the key to the II position, then count the abs light flashes.

If you are concerned, post a picture of the connector you want to short and we will verify it is the correct connector.
