A/ c Help

I have a 92 accord LX sedan Automatic that is having a c issues that I can not figure out.
What it is doing: Compressor clutch is kicking on

What I have checked
All fuses
freon level
fans

I was told that it might be a cpu (?) problem but I have no idea how to check that. Love the car, but I replaced the compressor last year( used) and I do not want to do that again. Right before it went out I remember that it would kick on and made the car feel likeit was going to die.

Please help

Next step would be to check if the compressor clutch is engaging properly.

Start the car without the a/c on. The clutch plate in front of the compressor pulley should not spin.

Turn the A/C on. The plate should engage with the pulley and spin at the same rate. Also both fans should come on.

Let us know what you find.

Last night I checked that I think. I would start the car and wait a few minutes before turning on the A c, I never saw the clutch plate turn on. (The clutch plate is the thing that spins for about 8 to 10 secounds then turns off. Sorry I am new to working on cars. Do not know the right names for stuff yet just what they look like) The fans don't come on when the a c is on, but they work when the temp is up on the car

The clutch plate is between 5 and 9 on the diagram.

Both fans need to come on for the a/c to work properly.

I would suggest that you download the 91 shop manual from the Online Manuals thread in the DIY section. Chapter 15 has the a/c information in it.

ok the clutch plate is not turning at all I can move it by hand but does not move at all when the car or a c is running. No noise or anything like that

There should be one wire going to the a/c compressor.

It should have 12V (to ground) when you turn the a/c on. Let us know what you find.
