I have a 2007 accord ex with 15k miles and a 2004 TL with 56k miles. It feels like the clutch is slipping on the accord. I took it to my dealership and they told me the clutch was worn out and needed to be replaced.how can this be right? A clutch worn out after only 15k miles.can anyone offer some insight on what else it could be?I know it not me abusing the clutch I drive both cars the same.

That is way too early for normal wear of the clutch.
When you drive the car, do you take your foot completely off of the clutch pedal after you shift? Did they check to see if the slave cylinder completely retracts when you take your foot off of the clutch pedal. Is there any loss of oil between changes? A leaking rear main seal could get the clutch friction material covered in oil and cause it to wear out quicker. You could take the car to a transmission shop and get a second opinion on the problem. |
