Default Car has trouble staying started after being driven

Hi guy,

Well I've been having a problem with my car for about 6 months now but only recently it has gotten more serious and now happens everyday. First of all I have a 2000 honda accord coupe v6, and the problem is after being driven for awhile and parked for about 10-20 mins and I go to try and start it again it will start, but then quickly after it will try to idle at low rpms and act as tho it is having a misfire but doesn't present any check engine light codes, then stalls out. When this happens I noticed the only way to get it running normal again is to to hold down the gas for 2 or 3 min then it will drive and idle normally. This only happens after I have driven for awhile then parked it for a short amount of time, otherwise it starts normally and drives fine. I've been looking on the forums and to me it sounds like a fuel issue, maybe with the main fuel relay, but before I replace anything I'd like to get your guys opinions on this, what do you guys think it is?

Thanks for the help

It could be a number of items. I would start with the simple stuff first. How many miles are on the car? When were the spark plugs last changed? What brand, type, etc... did you use?

I wonder if the injectors are leaking after the car is shut off. I would run a bottle of cheveron techron fuel system cleaner or the Lucas fuel system cleaner.

170,000 on the car, and the spark plugs where changed at about 150,000 miles, I used the NGK v-power plugs, ya I was thinking I'd run a bottle of the lucas fuel cleaner through.

Still having this problem, I ran lucas injection cleaner, and Heet moister remover in my car. Also last week the check engine light came on I had the codes read and a day later the light went off the codes were: P0301, P0302, P0304, P0305, P0300, P1399, and P1456 but I already replaced the fuel cap.

Do you guys have any ideas im stuck, and this problems irritates me a lot. I really appreciate the help. Thanks

You used the V-Power spark plugs? Are those the ones with the copper electrode?

Does your car have a distributor?

Can you get the car to stall out while shaking the key while the engine is running?
