car will not start
the button on my 2003 honda accord gear shaft broke off. i watched a video on how to replace it. very simple and the new part only cost me $15. You put the car in neutral, remove the gear shaft, etc. i left my car in neutral while i had a foot on my brake as i put the new button on the gear shaft(took me about 15min b/c it was hard for me to pull apart). just when i was about to put the gear shaft back on, my lights started blinking on the dashboard amd my cd player started making noises. i got the gear shaft put on but now my car will not start at all. i can't put it in gear, or anything. please help! i don't know what to do. i can't afford to have it towed to the dealer and them charge me a fortune. should have known better in the first place, but i was trying to save some money.

I've moved this to General Tech.
Do you have a volt meter to do some tests.....I'm think one is not related to the other. Can you get the car into park? If so what happens if you turn the key to "on"/Pos II? What does the green key light do? Does the radio come on, turn the blower motor to high.....do they work? |
