Car will not start, mettalic ping from under dash.

I have a 93 Accord, sometimes it starts right up, sometimes it will not start at all. When it will not start there is a metallic ping comeing from the dash, i beleive where the fuse box is. I have power and everything, just no turn over. Could it be a relay?

Before everyone suggests the main relay, please clarify something for us.

The common main relay failure will cause the fuel pump to not start running. No fuel = no start; even tho the starter can crank the engine.

You say it doesn't turn over. You mean the starter DOES NOT spin the engine? If so, it's NOT caused bythe main relay.

there is no starter turn or anything, just power to the electronics and no turn over at all. Sometimes if i turn the key and turn it again hard it will start. the mettalic ping is allways there when it wont start.

First thing I would do is check all your cables, make sure they are clean and tight, especially from the battery to the starter. A starter celenoid click sounds an awfull lot like you are describing and sound has a funny way of traveling from the engine bay to the interior. My best guess would be a failing starter, if that's not the case then I'd guess at an ignition switch issue...

Yeah, the starter solenoid makes sense. Should be able to hear that from the engine compartment while someone tries to start it.

Here is a definitive test of a bad starter solenoid. If the test doesn't work, it still could be the solenoid.

Have someone turn the key to the start position and hit the starter with the handle of a screwdriver. This helps the solenoid make proper contact and the starter will turn the engine over.
