CEL help?
I honestly cannot figure this damn thing out. I have absolutely no clue how I'm supposed to check my CEL. I understand that I have to jump something a connector with a paper clip, and it's a 2 pin connector... but I heard something about it being behind the glove box? I found a blue two pin connector behind the glove box, that had two smaller plugs plugging into the back of it. (A 3 pin, and a 2 pin.) Is that the connector I'm supposed be be jumping? Also, does the engine have to be running? Is there anything else I should know? If anyone could upload pictures that'd be great! Thanks!

Yes, jump the 2-pin connector. The 3-pin connector is a data link connector (DLC) for use by Honda technicians with a reader. Turn the ignition switch on after you jump the 2-p connector; but, don't start the car.

So do I remove the big plug that's holding the two together and use just the two pin? Or jump the big plug? (Big plug meaning the plug that holds the two and three pin)

The two wire connector may be plugged into a plastic holder. Pinch and release to access the pin sockets.
There is also guidance in the DIY forum on accessing your codes. good luck |
Disconnect the 2-P connector from the larger connector and jump only the 2-P connector.
