Check engine light is on, can't figure out what the problem is! I just got my 97 Accord swapped to an F22B6 due to engine problems. Now, I have a P1E ecu from a 95 Odyssey, and my original P0J ecu. I can put either of them in the car and it runs fine, but they are bothe giving different CEL codes. When I use the P1E ecu I get codes P0170 and P0171. When I use my original ecu I get P0441. I have no clue which ecu is telling the truth. I would think that since the engine is from an Odyssey that the P1E would, but I'm not sure and I'm not about to just start replacing parts! What do you guys think?

I only swapped to a F22B6 because I got it for $400 plus $375 for labor! No, I had the mechanics install it lol I'm not quite there yet.

P0441: Evaporative Emission Control System Incorrect Purge Flow
Causes:
Bad vacuum switch
Broken or damaged EVAP line or canister
Open in PCM purge command circuit
Open or short in Voltage feed circuit to Purge Solenoid
Faulty purge solenoid
Restriction in EVAP solenoid, line or canister
Corrosion or resistance in purge connector
Bad PCM

P0170: Fuel Trim Malfunction (Bank 1)
Causes:
MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) Illumination
Start and stall
Poor fuel economy
Black smoke at tailpipe
Hesitation/misfire at idle or under load

P0171: System Too Lean (Bank 1)
Basically this means that an oxygen sensor in bank 1 detected a lean condition (too much oxygen in the exhaust)

How mix and matched is this swap? The A6/B6 odyssey motors have a different camshaft, valvesprings, exhaust manifold and almost sure a different intake manifold too. The B6 will pull in more air than the B2, and the P1E is set up to compensate for that. You also are putting an OBD I odyssey ECM in place of an OBD II accord one, it's not going to understand the newer EVAP stuff, I'm surprised that those codes are the only problems you're having.

You did good. I think the P1E is an OBD2, 96-97 Odyssey ECU. The B2 and B6 engines are virtually identical with minor camshaft profile differences, and the Odyssey has a better exhaust manifold. I'd lean toward using the P0J.

Maybe the EVAP hoses got switched around or disconnected during the swap. The factory manual has an excellent EVAP diagnosis flowchart; use it to troubleshoot the EVAP CEL.
