changing lower ball joints on 6th gen

Hey this is my first post. But that's irrelevant.

I got a 2000 accord coupe and I'm trying to change my lower ball joints, I already have the new ones I just wanted a little more info before I start.

I know there is a tsb for my vehicle saying that if the lower's have never been replaced then I have to replace a few components but the new ball joints I have come with a snap ring, so to get out my old ones do I have to press them out or is it as easy as removing a snap ring.? And would I have to press in the new one aswell.?

Welcome to the forum. These type of help questions should generally be in the General Tech Help section.

If the old one has a snap ring, you have to remove it first before hammering it out. You can use a hammer to hit the stud of the ball joint squarely. After several hits, it should come out.

To put it back in, you can use a ball joint press to put it in or do what this guy did in this video.
