Clicking in shift console

Hi all,
Recently purchased a 93 Accord LX and have have minor problems that have been fixed. I went to get in the car today and as soon as I stepped on the brake there was a clicking sound (like a switch) from the shifter console. From now on each time I step on the brake there is a click. I am sure this has been brought up, but I could not find it in the forums. Thanks for any help.

RE: Clicking in shift console

Sounds like you have an auto tranny. The click when you press the brake is the solenoid in the shifter allowing you to shift out of park. It's there for safety to guarantee you have the brakes applied before you go into drive.
