Clutch problem, or transmission?

I have a manual 2000 Accord with 200k, with the original clutch. A couple of days ago the clutch suddenly started disengaging really close to the floor, though it didn't do it consistently. This only happened in 1st and reverse.

So today while driving home from work in stop-n-go traffic and high 90's temps the clutch was definitely acting and feeling not-right. The car was very jerky, and the clutch was consistently catching about an inch off the floor in 1st. Then, when parking at home the gear shift got stuck in 1st gear and I couldn't move it out of gear. The only way to get it out of gear was to pop the clutch and kill the engine, and then it came out of gear like normal.

Not sure if this is related to the clutch issue, but something has been leaking (looks like oil, but clean) out of the engine. It's on the firewall side, up high on the block. The guys at the oil changing place thought it was the camshaft seal, but could it be clutch fluid? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!!

It definitely could be the brake fluid used for clutch hydraulics. Check that the reservoir on the clutch master cylinder is to the full mark.

Yeah, sounds like air got in the clutch hydraulic system. Simply filling the reservoir isn't enough. Have to bleed the clutch to remove air from the tubing.

But first, find & fix the leak.
