clutch .. ugh
Hello all, newbie here.
To the point, no previous problems with clutch, went out of town for 1 week and upon returning went to start the car and "clunk" the clutch went right to floor board and absolutley no resistance at all. I am able to manually move in up and down, but nothing from the clutch. I've read a few postings in the forum, and I guess it's hydrolic from what I have read. No puddles, no absurd leakings that I can find. Car was serviced in May. I put my info in signature, but to be sure 96 Honda Accord 4 door, 5 speed manual, 100,000 miles. Thanks for any help. RE: clutch .. ugh
Hows the fluid level? Is the master or slave leaking?

RE: clutch .. ugh
you'll need to bend over and look up under the dash where the clutch rod goes thru the firewall to see the leak from the rear of the clutch master.

RE: clutch .. ugh
most likely you got a leak in the hydraulic system and most likely it is what the Dude suggested.. if so,,.
there is a write up on our DIY section on HOW to replace clutch slave and or master cylinder. |
