condensation on inside of rear window
Hi all.
Just bought another Accord, a 1993 LX. I noticed last night getting out of work that there was condensation buildup to the point of nearly dripping on the inside of my rear window, I cleaned it off and drove home. this morning the exact same thing. my other windows are fine, I've just never seen heavy condensation on the inside of rear glass. is this normal? |
I would suspect saturated carpet or cushions somewhere near rear window. At night the moist air and cool window cause condensation. Check trunk also.
good luck |

good luck Also, Honda recommends activating the AC (winter or summer, regardless of temperature setting) in order to clear any fogged or condensate-ed interior cabin windows. The AC acts as a dehumidifier |
I had a '93. Not experienced the condensation but I don't live in Carolina.
Feel the trunk carpet to see if its wet. My trunk had big time leaks in rain that came from deteriorated seals around the brake light lenses (those on the trunk lid if I recall), of all things. Luck. |
Also, don't forget to check the interior carpeting too. Corrosion through the floorpan of the car? Water soaking into the spongy material beneath the carpeting? Even if the source is in front, maybe the ventilation system is keeping the front windshield clear.
