Coolant leak under passengers side by wheel
Noticed my 97 accord leaking coolant after shutting the car off. The car did not overheat, and I have never had any previous coolant issues at all before this.
Added water, started it and let it run for about 5 min. The temp gauge moved past the half way mark which is higher than its ever been. Based on the location of the leak, what do you think could be wrong with it? Fuel pump? Is there possibly a temp fix for this? Dont have much $$$ at the moment, and I need my car. Any ideas what it could be? And more importantly, how much to repair, thanks. |
Sounds like one of the hoses to the heater core has blown? Again, I can only guess based upon your description.
Can you fill the rad and see if you can find the source of the leak? Sometimes you can fill the rad, put the cap back on, then squeeze the upper rad hose while looking for the source of the leak - kind of a cheap pressure tester? |
