Default Denso Compressor "Service Valve"

Hi All,

I've attached a photo of a part on my old compressor that I tried to remove yesterday to install on my new Denso compressor. Unfortunately one of the bolt heads stripped. The Denso install instructions refer to this as a "service valve". The new compressor did not come with this valve. Does anyone have a part number or know where I can buy this? I've researched it and can't find any info on this valve. I'll have to buy it if I can't get the stripped bolt out I guess. Appreciate anyone's input. My car is a 2007 Accord SE V6. Thanks!

The sites that sell OEM parts has that service valve as part of the compressor, so you won't be able to find an OEM part number.

You may want to pay someone at a reputable shop to remove the bolt.

You have a few options on getting that bolt to break loose. Make sure you don't damage the service valve when attempting.

1. Get a bolt extractor socket. It looks like a normal socket, but the inside is spiraled with teeth to dig and grip on to the stripped bolt. Then use a socket to remove the bolt.
Vice grips may work on this bolt head if you have enough clearance.
2. Use a dremel to cut a slot across the bolt head. Use a flat screwdriver to break the bolt loose.
3. This has more risk of damaging the service valve, but you could drill out the bolt head. You have to start dead center with a drill bit and drill down to a depth where you are past the flat part of the bolt head. Use your bolt you removed as a guide. Use larger bits until you get the drill hole big enough to break off the bolt head. Do not use a drill bit larger the width of the bolt you removed.
4. Use a center punch on the edge of the bolt to hit at a tangent. See the ericthecarguy video below.
5. See if any u-pull-it junkyards have an 07 V6 where you can get that valve. Maybe Ebay?
