Disable Grade Logic Control?

Hi All,

New to this forum, and have just purchased a new '09 Accord LX with Auto tranny.

I must say I hate how the tranny constantly shifts, and the Grade Logic Control gets on my nerves. I'm not sure if the two are related, but I'll assume not. I can see how the 5spd will shift more often since it has more gears to select, but this GLC seems like it's gonna kill my tranny. I'd rather have the car coast downhills (as with most other auto trannys) at a low rpm rather than decide to compression brake the engine and run at 3K to 3.5K rpms! I'd rather replace brake pads and rotors than service my tranny after the clutch packs had worn out.

Anyone know how to mod this to disable/improve the GLC? Will a performance tuner (hypertec, superchips, etc.) help with this?

Sorry for my rant, but any input is appreciated.

Derek

Any input on this? I can't imagine I'm the first to question this.
