Door Lock HELP!!!! Noise driving me crazy
 

I have the part for the left rear door power door lock actuator for my 19996 Accord 4 door sedan EXL. The problem is the Chilton manual is a little complicated for me, as I am mechanically incline, the part looks easy to replace, but unsure.

Just spent $286.00 at the dealer today to replace fan motor. That looked like something I could have done.

The labor rate at my dealer is $43.00 an hour. , dealer tells me one and half to replace for the power door lock..

If someone could please help me it would be great.

I would get a Service manual and try it myself..from the library..not a Chilton!

It is not as hard as it looks to do but you have to have that jump right in thing and get it done attuide, once the door panel is off you can see all you need to see...

it always gets complicated with door latches handles and locks - if its only around 60-80 $ - go to the dealer

Thanks for you suggestions the dealer wants $182.00 for labor. I'll go back to the library and try and find the right manual thanks again.

buy Haynes MAnual at PepBoys its around $16-18

Well I am getting the dealer on Friday to replace the actuator, the noise I can't handle anymore at all. On top of it it's getting louder. Again thanks for everything
