Driver side rear door not working and child lock is on
 

I have a 98 Accord Lx 4 dr 4 cyl.
The rear door latch seems to be broken. I did a stupid thing of pushing the child lock while checking it out and now I cannot open the door from the inside or outside.

I am a student on a budget. Pls help me get the door opened. Any step by step instructions will help.

I have heard something of opening the door panel to removing the backseat but I am clueless where to start.

Depending on where the latch is broken, you can sometimes lift the outer handle and reach in to grab the broken stub with needle nose pliers.
If it is internally broken 'somewhere'.....remove the back seat, the bottom of the seat will have a 10mm bolt down in the crack at the back about 1/2 way across, then fold the cushion forward.
Then you should have room to remove the door panel.

The breakdowns will help you find all the attachment points of the door panel.
When you get the panel off, don't rip open the vapor barrier.
Use a carton type razor knife to slice thru the glue junk along the edges, and peel it out of the way.

Thanks for the reply. Regarding the seats, I was able to find how to move the back rest and the seat itself. But I can't seem to see how to remove the two side rests(where the seats belts are). Are they hinged somewhere. I am just being careful that I don't rip it apart.
