Drivers Door Courtesy Light Fail: 02 Accord EX

1 Attachment(s)
I replaced all my courtesy light bulbs with led's and found that my drivers side was not working at all. At first I though the bulb was burnt out but after investigation found the bulb was fine and the terminal was bad. I checked the other terminals with a digital multimeter and they all showed around 13 volts except the drivers door. The wires are in good condition and I have looked at the schematic in my haynes manual but I am lost as to where to start troubleshooting. Any thoughts?

For the driver's side courtesy light, did you remove the light housing to test for power at the 2-P connector terminals, or are you just testing at the bulb contacts on the housing? If you were not getting power at the 2-P connector terminals, next check for continuity at the door jamb switch.

Take out the door jamb switch, remove the rubber boot cover from the switch. Test for continuity with switch in open position (not pressed in) between the terminal (where the wire was connected previously) and the switch base (the base is exposed after removing the rubber cover). -- You may want to tape the switch wire to the door jamb so it doesn't fall back into the hole, while you test the switch.
