DRL and EGR problems on 99 Accord

I have a 99 Honda Accord EX Coupe, V6, 3.0L and its been good to me for 3 years, but now I'm having some problems...
An engine light and a DRL light recently came on so I took it into Honda, and they said I need a new EGR and a DRL relay. They quoted $199 + 2 hours of labour for the EGR kit and install, and $149 + 1 hour of labour for the DRL relay and install.
Are these problems that would be worth fixing myself to save the money, or is it a good idea to have them fix them? If I do it myself, should I buy the parts from Honda or an aftermarket place?
I found one thing online saying I just need to re-solder the relay connection points. Would this work??
Where could I find DIY instructions to fix these?
Thanks for the help!
