Ebrake not working...
 

so i changed the caliper on the rear drivers side of my 05 accord v6 sedan. It went fine and i put everything back the same the old caliper was. Thing is now the ebrake cant even stop the car at idle, it just slows it down at idle. does it have to be adjusted? if so how.

Two ways...
When you replace pads in your existing caliper, you have to twist the piston to make it retract. If you twist it too far, it gets like this, so I normally twist it back counterclockwise so there's just enough room to assemble it. That's a PITA since it's already back together.

Or, you can allow the auto-adjuster to do it's job. Operate the handbrake lever about 400 times up & down. That's a PITA too, so take your choice. Have a helper do this for you, while you watch the cable pulling on the lever at the caliper. Make sure that works OK - make sure the cable is actually moving the lever.

lol k thx, i figured it was something like that. i think ill just pull the ebrake. i know the cable is fine and was pulling cus i checked it before i reassembled so im goin outside to pull the ebrake for a while
