ECM control and interface(fuel pump relay module)

HELP! HELP! HELP!

I need documentation refering to how the ECM controls the fuel pump relay module

It appears that it grounds the coil for the relay that drives the fuel pump.

but A16 is floating not grounding pin 8 (relay coil)at that point I'm lost

I breadboarded the module and I grounded pin 8 and it works fine.the computer is'nt giving me the ground needed .any help would be most welcome.

I do some some electrial engineering background,so I should be able to follow along.

I Thank You For Your Consideration

I moved your thread to the General Tech Help section.

Please read the forum rules regarding where to post. Do not post help questions in the DIY section.

In addition, please include the year, make, etc. for the vehicle.

Back when I still had the wiring drawings for my 98 Accord, I think there were several ground wires from the PCM. It was never spelled out, but it seems logical that they were separate grounds for different functions.

Say for example most ground wires were OK, so the PCM itself works fine. But an open ground wire that provides the "other end" of the A16 point would make it seem like the PCM can't provide the ground that it should. After all, A16 is probably just an output transistor that opens & closes a circuit to ground; which that ground itself might be open.

Without knowing what year & model & engine, it's hard to be more specific.
