To PAhonda:
what is normal temperature gauge range when the radiator fan comes on hot engine? Is it always above midpoint ( more than 50%)?

my radiator fan and condensor fan both came on after reaching temperature gauge around 60% hot -16 minutes idling. Is my thermoswitch A definitely in working condition?

To Time Will Tell:
Does the Rad. fan box under glove box gets hot when engine is hot, too? when Do we need to replace this?

Thank you.

My fans would turn on pretty much near that 35% normal operating temperature. The needle didn't jump much when the fans turned on. So lets say between 35-50%(max).

Well the radiator fan control box shouldn't get hot at all, the only time it should heat up, if it does at all, is when theres a current going through it.
Ie when the fans are running, if the box is abnormally hot, or it smells like its burnt, I call it "letting the smoke out " and or if its smoking while the cooling fans are running then its not going to do any good to replace the box if you can't find the reason for the problem,

if that box is heating up and it's getting hot there's way too much current going to that box.
electrical is not my strong point you'd have to ask somebody else about this, but I know that box should not get hot under normal operating conditions..

PAHonda is very knowledgeable about alot of these questions I'm sure he would have some positive feedback on this particular question.
