Ecu Troubles.

Ok, I have a H22a in my 1994 Honda Accord, it was automatic for the last year and ran fine with no CEL on at all, all was good. A week ago I did a 5 speed swap and have been fixing a few things that needed attention. First is the AIBV (air intake by-pass valve) upon reading the service manual about it I find that I'm not getting enough voltage to the AIBV solenoid, also the AIT (air intake temperature) sensor was throwing a CEL so I checked that and according to the service manual both problems stem from a bad ECU.

My Question is how could this happen and is it an easy fix?
Are there other tests I can try? I've read the manual over and over and have a good grasp on how these system should work.

I've thought about getting the Hondata ECU but don't know much about what it is for and how to use it.

Share the code/s you extracted, and you'll get some input.

good luck

I'm confused, I know I'm old and slow so confusing me isn't hard.

The car has been fine, swap the trans and then as soon as that is done you are getting codes?

Well right after the swap I had redid my intake manifold gaskets and had to unplug some plugs and when I hooked it back up I somehow got some plugs mixed up. So I figured why not while I'm at it to fix a few things in the process. The one thing I knew that didn't work was the AIBV so now I am trying to trace wires and test them to fix it. I've been thrown codes for the O2 sensor the AIT sensor, it must have been fine for the past year for it to not throw any codes. But I'm 100% sure that the AIBV had not worked the whole time. I checked with a meter and its giving me almost 3 volts at the plug and at the ECU. As for the AIT sensor I followed the manuals trouble shooting guide and it says it may be the ECU too.

I didn't see TX's post last night, slow typing and almost at the same time.

If you have codes, as asked...please share.
