EGR block plate?

How does this help performance? I realize it isnt emission compliant, but I live in an area where I dont have to do emissions testing. Is it worth the $20?

no you shouldnt get that. your computer will probably go into limp mode if you do put it on and i bet that will actually make your car slower and use a bunch more gas. if you do go with a turbo setup where you have your own engine management that doesnt take signal from your egr then you should put it on.

If you install that, what most likely will happen is:

1) Your computer will freak
2) your dpfe sensor will read high back pressure
3) your gas mileage will be horrible
4) the ingine will run hotter than normal(possibly over 2500'F), which in certain obvious driving cituations, could be bad for many things

dont get it.

Hey sweet, sounds like a deal. Im getting it... NOT. Really, thanks for the input guys. I was just intrigued because it was shiny and pretty, and it would mean I wouldnt have to clean out my EGR ports anymore lol. Guess its not a good idea though, I'll stay away from it.

It's a sensor that, well, senses backpressure in(kinda just before actually) the egr and gives the pcm the info it needs to modulate the amount of exhaust to recycle through to the intake. I don't know exactly where it is since I haven't had a problems with it yet. the cars pretty new to me.
