Maint Reqd Indicator

RE: Maint Reqd Indicator
with the car off put the key in the ignition, push and hold your trip reset/odometer reset button, turn the key to the on position and continue to hold the trip/odo reset button for about 15 seconds, the light should flash a few times and then go off. Then you're done!

Is it the maint required light or the check engine light that is on? If that doesn't work you may be able to disconnect and reconnect the battery cable to reset it, be sure you have your stereo code if you do that though. If it still stays on I'd call a Honda dealership and ask them what you should do.... are you pushing in the odometer reset button before you turn the car to the on position?

RE: Maint Reqd Indicator
It is the maint reqd light. Yes, we are pushing the reset before turning the car to on
We contacted 1 dealer who told us that there might be add'l maint required after 30,000, and that possibly there was another sequence needed to reset, but he didnt know what that sequence might be

that's a new one to me.... All people have ever done that I know of is to push that in and hold it as they turned the car on. Have you tried holding it in for more like 30 seconds?
