An electrical problem in 2018 Honda Accord Sport
I'm trying to help my niece. She hasn't been able to drive her car in over a year. She has 2018 Honda Accord Sport. The engine starts its drivable but after some time, all the lights on the dash come on. Then it can't accelerate more than 15-30 mph. She bought it used and she has 108k miles on it and Honda said it needs an engine at $8k. Has anyone had this problem? Please share how and who solved the problem.
Thanks

There isn't much to go off other than it sounds like the engine computer is forcing the car into limp mode. Limp mode is the engine computers way to reduce speed to prevent any damage to the vehicle and allow you to get off the road.
The engine computer stored trouble codes since the dash lights came on. Post the code(s) on here if she still has the dealership's report. If not, you can pick up an OBD2 code reader for pretty cheap and scan the codes yourself.
Just post all codes that come up to help give a starting point of what is causing the car to go into limp mode.
