emissions control warning light
I take my 2007 Honda Accord for emissions testing; my vehicle easily passes. While I'm driving back home I notice that the emissions light is on. I return and the mechanic has his supervisor reset the codes; the supervisor tells me that "it may be my catalytic converter" if the light continues to go back on. I call the Honda dealer and they want $100/hr for diagnostics !! Seriously, this would be an incredible coincidence to go in for testing with a perfectly fine vehicle and leave the test station with a warning light and potential converter problems. Am I right that the mechanic simply doesn't know how to reset the codes? What should I do without paying $$$? The light is now back on.

Hi Member
1st file a claim against Honda for shoddy workman diagnostics, then go to Meineke, Advance, Napa or AutoZone where the do your code checking for free.
You don't turn off the code lights , they go out after the trouble is fixed.. |
